Adinkra

The Adinkra project is an illustration play with digital collaging and vector drawing. The motifs are my Zero-Waste designs of men’s shirts. 'Adinkra' is also an ancient West African language of aphorisms. It is full of wisdom and some of them are included in the design of each shirt in my miniature collection. West African wax print fabrics and 'Bogolan' cloths have inspired me through their vibrant colours and through the sustainable processes they enable. Global unity also served as a base for this project.
